I’ve been a wedding photographer at Morley Hayes a few times now and its always a privilege to go back. Morley Hayes is a golf club located in Derbyshire know for providing weddings year-round. The 270 acres of woodland and parkland makes for a picturesque backdrop for your wedding day and the venue caters for all sizes of weddings.
Grace and Chris were wed in the winter of 2018 and their day was an absolute delight to photograph from getting ready in the morning right through to hitting the dancefloor in the evening.

This wedding venue is also a Derbyshire golf club and because of that, your special day is surrounded by rollings hills and vast green landscapes. The club has a dedicated team of wedding coordinators to ensure your day goes off without a hitch, there’s even a master of ceremonies to help keep things running smoothly.
Morley Hayes Ceremony
One of the cool things about getting married at Morely Hayes is the number of options when it comes to your ceremony location. For those summer weddings, brides and grooms can enjoy walking down the aisle outside with a background of wildflowers and mature pines. Alternatively, couples can get married in the Mill Room which is the same room used to your wedding reception will later take place. Grace and Chris had their ceremony during winter so enjoy this option with its elegant natural decor.
Wedding Photos at Morley Hayes
After the ceremony guests can enjoy drinks and canapes in the natural setting on this golf club. There are several areas to relax inside and outside depending on the weather. There a couple of lovely gardens with lush plants and a beautiful pond that makes for a lovely backdrop for your family photos and couple portraits. After canapes and photos, guest can head inside to the Granary Loft to take their seats for the wedding speeches. This is an elegantly decorated room with chandeliers that create an atmospheric light to carry you into the evening. Once the cake is cut the dancefloor is set up and the resident DJ will be there to encourage wedding guests to dance the night away.
Grace and Chris had also hired a photo booth that made for an excellent addition to the evening’s festivities.
